《爱普城市路灯自动监控系统》是基于GPRS无线通信透明传输终端，采用先进的计算机通信技术和数字信号处理(DSP)技术，通过交流采样的方法，完成现场的电流、电压、相序以及功率、功率因素等参数的采样、运算、存储、显示，并根据预置参数或调度端的命令自行完成数据的传送，并实现对路灯、景观灯的远程监控，通过地理信息系统(GIS)实时显示系统网络图、地理图、路灯走向图等，直观的显示路灯系统运行状况，快速发现路灯故障、盗窃等，并能主动通过GSM短消息报警，确保路灯系统的可靠运行，提高路灯运行质量，最终建成一套功能完善、安全节能、操作简便、可靠性高的城市路灯自动监控系统。
    ●主要技术指标 (Main technical funtions)
    ◆遥测功能(Romote Monitoring)：能够将站点所监测的路灯监控终端状态（电压、电流、功率因数、相序）实时传递到路灯监控中心。
    ◆遥信功能(Remote singnalling)：通过预置参数能自动传递开关位置信号和报警信号，并能生成GSM短消息报警等报警信息。
    ◆遥控功能(Remote controlling)：能自动和手动遥控，报警电压、电流设定值等参数可遥控设定，可通过遥控对终端进行校时等。
    ◆绘图和显示(Drawing and displaying)：通过GIS实时显示系统网络图、地理图和路灯走向图等，并能动态维护。    
    ◆安全性(Safety)：控制终端设备采用一体化设计，具有多重防死机电路、多重屏蔽隔离电路、防雷设计等功能，能满足不同气候环境的工业现场要求；数据传输采用数据加密和纠错技术，保证数据传输安全；根据系统管理员、系统维护人员、调度员和一般用户等不同岗位划分不同的操作权限。
    ◆信息定时存储(Time storage of information)：系统定时监测、存储各路灯监控终端的监测数据、异常情况信息等，建立标准的历史数据库。
    ◆独立性(Independence)：智能终端在控制中心出现故障的情况下可独立运行。
